March 22 – World Water Day Activity

As part of March 22 World Water Day, our students will design fish and other aquatic creatures using origami and create an aquarium environment in the classroom. This activity aims to help students recognize the vital importance of water for all living beings, develop awareness about protecting the natural environment, and express their creativity. 💧🐟

Implementation Details:

  • Recycled newspapers will be glued as the background paper for the aquarium.
  • Then, blue watercolor will be applied to create the effect of water.
  • Origami aquatic animals will be attached to the background, forming a classroom aquarium display.

Through this activity, students will not only improve their artistic skills but also visually experience the importance of water and the need to protect it..

As part of our I Learn Life Skills Through STEAM project, we combined the World Water Day on March 22 with the curriculum acquisition "The Relationship between Living and Non-Living Beings". "How can we design an ecosystem simulation to protect our water resources?" During the process that started with the STEM question; Our children both built dirty and clean sea prototypes and expressed their solutions by talking about water drops.
